580EXII into EzyBox with PW FlexTT5

I have been testing the new Pocket Wizards with my various modifiers and this is the Lastolite 24x24 Ezybox.

The Ezybox is marvelous soft box for your shoe mounted flashes. In this photo the 580EX II is being fired by the Pocket Wizard FlexTT5.

The Ezybox folds up quite small and is very easy to transport.

Check out the Ezybox here and the FlexTT5 here.

black Ultimate LIght Box / 580EXII / FlexTT5

black Ultimate LIght Box / 580EXII / FlexTT5, originally uploaded by Music Man5.

I've been testing the new Pocket Wizards with my various light modifiers and one of my favorites so far is this combo. The Harbor Digital "Ultimate Light Box". The kit comes with two 'shells', one black (this one) and an frosted one. As I was not needing to light much area I went with the black shell for this experiment.

You can get this modifier for most any flash but HERE is a link to the Canon 580EX II version. This kit is very versatile and easy to use.

Would make a great holiday gift for the Canon shooter in your family.

Need a Canon flash?

B&H Photo/Video has some great prices right now. With the holidays coming up it's a great time to get your first on camera flash to capture all those special moments that are coming.

I own both of these flashes and love them both. Check them out on the B&H site, read the descriptions and the customer reviews.

For an entry level flash I recommend the Canon 430EX II

If you need more power (and who doesn't) then I recommend the Canon 580EX II. In fact if you can afford it this is the Canon flash to get.

Want to know more about Canon flashes then I recommend Speedliting.com, tons if information for you.

Have fun!!

review of the latest from "Here Come the Mummies"

"Carnal Carnival" by "Here Come the Mummies"

I downloaded this album this morning and once again the Mummies have another winner.

Outstanding up-tempo music, as always. As with any Mummies album the songs draw you out of your seat to start dancing.

Favorite songs would be "Chunky", "Splurge", "Creepin" and "Love Triangle". Love the sax solo (Mummy Rah) on "Stroke of Midnight".

Carnal Carnival
If you have not heard the boys before this would be a great place to start. This is another 5 star effort from the undead group "HERE COME THE MUMMIES".

Dave Clark 5 - Glad all over

When I was a young lad the Dave Clark 5 would always raise my spirits. My contemporaries were all 'over' the Beatles but I found their records depressing for the most part. Even at this age I loved a band with a saxophone in it.

INXS - Who Pays The Price - Wembley 1991

Had not seen this version before. One of my all time favorite INXS songs.

Pro Studio Solutions EZ Pro Beauty Dish Strip Box softbox 12"x56" soft box with Speedring speed ring insert for Alien Bees Alienbees Strobe Light

Never had a stripbox before but I like this one. Sets up quickly and seems to be well made, very sturdy. I wanted it for those situations where I want a large patch of light on my background or subject.
